I wanted to show this closeup of the only HAED I ever finished many years ago... Just to show how half stitches over 1 on 28 count can look pretty decent for a full coverage design. And it takes like, half the time to stitch it. 😂

You can see a few gaps in the closeup, because not all stitches will be perfect. But once you zoom out it all just blends together!

I don't do a lot of full coverage anymore (mainly due to lack of TIME), but this is definitely my go to for large projects like this. 👀

Here's what I ended up making with all the colors Here's what I ended up making with all the colors I've never designed with before. In case you missed the article/video, I put together a spreadsheet of all the colors that I have used over the last 10 years of designing cross stitch patterns, and then challenged myself to stitch with the colors I've never used in a pattern before.

...plus 310, because they were all very pastel and would've just melded together otherwise, lol.

How did I do? What would you have made with these colors?
I just wish I still had all of these as skeins rather than bobbins so I could do a proper thread bouquet.

Another month, another ~30 hours of stitching done Another month, another ~30 hours of stitching done.
Swipe to compare to the beginning of the month. -->

Slightly under an hour a day this time, but that's only tracking cross stitch. I did a good 30+ hours of sewing as well, most of which for next month's article, so look forward to that. 👀
A look at my UFO pile. Some of these being 20+ yea A look at my UFO pile. Some of these being 20+ years old at this point. 🙈 Because let's be real, we all abandon projects from time to time and you should never feel bad about it. And we should really normalize it more.

If you're new to the craft and don't have any old WIPs and still manage to finish everything you start -- great! But it may happen one day and it's okay. Let it happen. Life's too short to keep working on a project that you're not feeling.

Maybe you'll pick it back up one day. Maybe you won't. Either way there's no harm in letting them sit unfinished.

A small color palette for April -- But hopefully i A small color palette for April -- But hopefully it says spring well enough. ;) April's cross stitch pattern definitely has a floral theme, but probably not the flowers you're thinking of. ;)

Definitely excited for warmer weather and getting the garden going this year though.

My garden kinda flopped last year, and we're still mostly focusing on getting the inside of the house the way we want it, but I still want to put at least a bit of work into our yard. 🤔

Do you have any fun garden plans this year?
