Join me over on my website as I take a deep dive into the wide world of fabric storage. Ranging from plastic bags, boxes, bins, poster tubes, file cabinets, and even hanging them on your wall!

Got your own preferred storage method? I'd love to see/ hear about it!

I may've made this into a book sleeve where you'll never see the back again. But I always snap photos first! The back of a low-color design like this is always so satisfying to see. It's real easy to keep things neat when you don't have a lot of jumping around to do!

Trying once again to share more of my non-cross st Trying once again to share more of my non-cross stitch hobbies. Because yes, I do a whole lot of cross stitch. But I also do lots of other stuff too! 😂

This time, some bookbinding!
So, back when I used to include packing slips with my bobbin / floss drop label orders I would print 4 to a page and cut them to size to save paper. Since they were mostly to make sure I didn't forget anything in your order than you actually needing a list of what you ordered.

Well sometimes I'd only get 3 orders and I wouldn't want to keep those waiting for me to get a 4th, so I'd have a quarter of a sheet of printer paper blank.
As such I accumulated a large PILE of these 1/4 sheets of paper.

But I didn't want them to go to waste. So recently I spent some time turning a few of them into these cute little notebooks. I even used up some cardstock I'd gotten for free as little covers.

They're about 2 3/4" by 4 1/4". And I did 4 signatures of 6 sheets each. These just used french link stitching.
I'd like to play around with some other stitching styles as well! I might do some with actual covers on them in the future too. But for now I left these as open binding.

It's pretty easy to do, and once you know all the steps, it takes about 20 minutes to make an individual booklet from a stack of 24 pieces of paper. And I've got enough of these offcuts to make... almost a dozen more!

A few of you asked about the tree in my office, so A few of you asked about the tree in my office, so here's the deets.

... I have no idea where it's from. I actually stumbled across it at a Goodwill and just could not pass it up. Yes the little sequins shed occasionally. Sometimes entire branches. Yes the cats bat playfully at the low hanging biscornu.
But I'm so glad I picked it up. I had all these small ornaments and non-christmassy biscornu I had no idea where to keep and now I can finally display them and see them regularly. It brings such joy to my office and I'm so glad I picked it up!

It had kind of a basic square base, so I shoved it in a large cauldron I had picked up at Target years ago, then shoved some styrofoam packaging around it to keep it from moving and bundled a purple microfiber towel around the base to hide it.

It looks full, but there's still plenty of room on the tree for me to keep adding more cross stitch ornaments! (And some room on the Christmas tree, too. 👀)

And yep, a smol rainbow trash can I picked up at Ross.

I've finally done it~! I've made a Cross Stitch Bo I've finally done it~! I've made a Cross Stitch Book Cover! Which is mainly amusing because last year I completely rebound a book with a cross stitch. But this time I just made a removable cover that is adjustable and can be used with different books of a similar size.

This Tentacular pattern is perfect for Eldritch horrors like my copy of Call of Cthulhu and other Weird Stories. And just time time for you to stitch one up for Halloween! It's also only a few colors, so feel free to swap out the purple for a more tentacly green or your favorite color! I just had this perfect Seaglass aida I wanted to use and the purple just pops so nicely on it!

The pattern is up on Patreon if you'd like it 👀Otherwise it'll be available on Etsy next month at a slightly higher price. 😉

Either way, I should have the actual book sleeve tutorial up next month as well. So look forward to that, both on my blog and as a video tutorial!
